Best Friend Test is operated by Teena in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, how long it may be kept, when third-party services may process information, and the choices available to you.

Best Friend Test does not require you to create an account to create or answer a quiz.

Information We Collect

The information collected depends on how you use Best Friend Test.

Information Used to Create a Custom Quiz

When you create a personalized BFF quiz, we store information needed to create and operate that quiz, including:

  • The name you provide as the quiz creator
  • Your quiz questions
  • Your answer choices
  • The answers you select as correct
  • A randomly generated quiz identifier
  • A private management credential used to access the quiz analytics dashboard
  • The date and time the quiz was created

You do not need to create an account, provide a password, or provide an email address to create a quiz.

Information Collected When Someone Takes a Custom Quiz

When someone completes a custom quiz, we may store:

  • The participant name they provide
  • Their submitted answers
  • Number of correct answers
  • Total number of questions
  • Quiz score
  • Score percentage
  • The date and time of the submission

This information is used to check the participant’s answers against the quiz creator’s answer key, calculate the result, maintain the quiz leaderboard, and make quiz results available through the creator’s private analytics system.

Friendship Score Test

The pre-built Friendship Score test is designed to run locally in your browser.

The answers you select and the Friendship Score produced through this mode are not submitted to the custom quiz database as quiz attempts.

Browser-Based Quiz History

Best Friend Test uses browser local storage to provide the My Recent Quizzes and Quizzes You’ve Taken features on the homepage.

This browser history does not create a Best Friend Test account and is not automatically synchronized between different browsers or devices.

My Recent Quizzes

When you create a custom quiz, your browser may temporarily save information such as:

  • The quiz identifier
  • The creator name
  • The quiz creation date
  • The private analytics link or information needed to access it
  • The current participant count

This allows My Recent Quizzes to show active quizzes you’ve created and provide a shortcut back to their analytics dashboards.

The website may contact our server to confirm that a remembered quiz is still active and to refresh its participant count.

Quizzes You’ve Taken

When you complete a custom quiz, your browser may temporarily save information such as:

  • The quiz identifier
  • The quiz creator’s name
  • The date you completed the quiz
  • Your number of correct answers
  • Total questions
  • Your score percentage
  • Your result title
  • Your result message

This allows you to reopen your saved result from Quizzes You’ve Taken while the quiz remains active.

How Long Browser History Is Kept

Browser-based quiz history is kept for up to 365 days.

Expired or deleted quizzes are removed from the active history when their status is checked.

Clearing your browser’s local storage, site data, or browser data may remove this history earlier.

Browser History Is Device-Specific

Quiz history stays in the browser where the activity occurred.

For example, a quiz created on your phone will not automatically appear in the quiz history on your laptop.

Shared Devices

If you use Best Friend Test on a shared computer, phone, tablet, or browser profile, another person using that same browser may be able to see locally remembered quiz activity.

For quizzes you created, the locally stored history may provide access to the private analytics dashboard.

If you use a shared device, consider clearing BestFriendTest.fun site data after you finish using the service.

Contact Form Information

If you contact us through our Contact page, we collect information you voluntarily provide, which may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your message

We currently use Contact Form 7 to process contact submissions.

As currently configured, Contact Form 7 sends the submission to our email, and we do not intentionally store those messages in a Contact Form 7 submission database on the website.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message unless it is necessary for us to assist you.

Information Collected Through Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use BestFriendTest.fun and to improve the website.

Google Analytics may process information such as:

  • Pages visited
  • Sessions and interactions with the website
  • Browser and device information
  • Approximate geographic location
  • Referral information
  • Technical information associated with website visits

Managing Browser Storage and Cookies

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and locally stored website data through browser settings.

Deleting BestFriendTest.fun site data may also remove your locally saved recent quiz history.

Blocking certain technologies may affect how some website features or third-party services work.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through Best Friend Test for purposes such as:

  • Creating and delivering custom friendship quizzes
  • Checking submitted answers against a quiz answer key

We do not currently operate an advertising network or use the website to serve behavioral advertising.

How Custom Quiz Links Work

Custom quizzes use generated links rather than user accounts.

Shareable Quiz Link

When a quiz is created, the creator receives a shareable quiz link.

The link is intended to be sent to friends who the creator wants to challenge.

Generated quizzes are not intentionally listed as public quiz directories on BestFriendTest.fun, but a shareable quiz link should not be treated as confidential or password-protected.

Anyone who obtains the link may be able to access the quiz while it remains active.

For this reason, do not include sensitive, confidential, private, or unnecessary personally identifying information in custom quiz questions or answers.

Private Analytics and Management Link

The quiz creator also receives a separate private management link.

This link is used to access quiz analytics and management functionality.

The creator should keep this link private.

Anyone who obtains access to the private management link may be able to access information and controls associated with that quiz.

The browser-based My Recent Quizzes feature may remember this private management information on the browser where the quiz was created for up to 365 days.

What Quiz Creators Can See

When someone completes a custom quiz, the quiz creator can access the quiz’s private analytics system.

The visible analytics dashboard currently shows information such as:

  • The participant name
  • The participant’s score
  • The total number of quiz questions
  • Leaderboard ordering based on quiz performance

Best Friend Test also processes and temporarily stores the participant’s submitted answers in order to calculate and retain the quiz result during the quiz’s active period.

Participants should understand that the name they enter and their performance on the quiz are intended to be associated with that quiz and made available to its creator through the quiz management system.

Backups

Our hosting environment may maintain website or database backups for approximately 30 days.

Because of this, information removed from the active website may remain temporarily in backup copies until those backups are automatically replaced or deleted.

Backups are maintained for website recovery, security, and operational purposes and are not intended to function as active quiz records.

Contact Message Retention

We do not currently use a fixed retention period for emails received through our Contact page.

Contact messages may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Respond to your request
  • Continue a support conversation
  • Maintain appropriate business records
  • Resolve disputes or abuse reports
  • Protect Best Friend Test and its users
  • Meet applicable legal obligations

If you would like us to delete a contact message containing your personal information, you may submit a request through our Contact page.

Google Analytics Data Retention

Information processed through Google Analytics is subject to the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics property and Google’s own data-processing and retention practices.

Information submitted through a custom quiz is processed as part of providing that quiz.

A participant’s name and quiz performance are associated with the quiz they completed and are made available through the creator’s private quiz management system.

We rely on third-party services to operate, host, understand, and support the website.

These may include services associated with:

  • Website hosting
  • Google Analytics

  • Email delivery

If you created a custom quiz, you can use its private analytics and management dashboard to delete the quiz and its associated active results before the quiz automatically expires.

Remove Browser-Based Quiz History

You can remove locally stored Best Friend Test quiz history by clearing BestFriendTest.fun site data or local storage through your browser settings.

Removing local browser history does not necessarily delete the corresponding active quiz from our server.

If you created a quiz and want the actual quiz and its participant results removed from the active service, use the quiz’s private management dashboard.

Control Cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage, block, or delete cookies through browser settings.

Google also provides privacy and Analytics-related controls for users.

Privacy Rights Depending on Where You Live

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide certain rights relating to personal information.

These rights may include the ability to request:

Best Friend Test is not directed to children under the age of 13.

  • Participate in a custom quiz

  • Otherwise provide personal information through Best Friend Test

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring deletion, we will take reasonable steps to remove that information.

A parent or guardian who believes that a child under 13 has provided personal information through Best Friend Test may contact us through our Contact page.

User-Generated Quiz Content

Custom quizzes allow users to write their own questions and answer choices.

Please do not use Best Friend Test to submit sensitive or confidential information such as:

  • Passwords or login credentials
  • Financial account information
  • Credit or debit card details
  • Government identification numbers
  • Private contact information
  • Medical or similarly sensitive records
  • Confidential information about another person
  • Information you do not have permission to share

Quiz creators are responsible for the information they choose to include in their custom quizzes.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to operate Best Friend Test securely and limit unnecessary collection and retention of information.

However, no website, database, email system, browser-storage mechanism, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Because custom quizzes rely on generated links rather than accounts and passwords:

  • Keep private analytics links confidential
  • Be careful when using shared devices
  • Avoid placing sensitive information in quiz questions or answers
  • Remember that anyone who obtains a shareable quiz link may be able to access the quiz while it remains active

Third-Party Privacy Practices
